POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Assist in the oversight of all DYCD-funded after-school programs to ensure compliance with DYCD, agency, and school-based requirements.
  • Monitor program performance, enrollment, attendance, and retention goals.
  • Ensure all sites maintain accurate documentation, participant records, and required compliance files.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess program quality, safety, and operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as the site Program Director when necessary, ensuring smooth program operations, staff support, and effective service delivery.
  • Support the preparation and completion of DYCD reports, audits, monitoring visits, and evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to all child safety, supervision, and incident-reporting protocols.
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
  • Support corrective action processes and staff accountability measures when necessary.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to develop engaging educational, recreational, arts, STEM, leadership, and enrichment activities.
  • Monitor program quality using DYCD quality standards and assessment tools.
  • Develop strategies to improve participant engagement and program outcomes.
  • Support implementation of youth development best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with school administrators, teachers, community organizations, and families.
  • Represent the organization at school meetings, community events, and DYCD meetings.
  • Assist in expanding partnerships that enhance programming and participant opportunities.
  • Oversee program data collection and reporting through DYCD systems and internal databases.
  • Analyze attendance, enrollment, and outcome data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure timely submission of required reports and deliverables.
  • Assist in monitoring program budgets and expenditures.
  • Ensure effective allocation of program resources and supplies.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
  • Full- time, exempt position
  • Monday – Friday: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • Compensation range of $80,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience, skillset, and education.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in youth development, after-school programming, or educational programs.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing DYCD-funded programs strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within school-based environments and community organizations.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred

WORK AUTHORIZATION & CLEARANCE
  • Documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass the background check, medical exams, fingerprinting and other requirements of the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DOE), and Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).
